a network environment serving multiple workstations and users.
Note: SE
replaces Enterprise Edition. Installing SE will uninstall and replace
EE. To upgrade to SE, install SE and click the Upgrade button on the

Server Edition has the following features:

Centralized Installation:
Install SE on a Windows server, and any user can install by connecting
to a shared printer. Admin access to the workstation is not required
with SE.

Centralized Updates:
When a new version of SE is installed on the server, client users are
automatically updated to the new version.

Network Client Support:
SE
supports clients running Windows 95, 98/ME, NT, 2000 and XP,
including laptops and Terminal Server/Citrix clients.

Shared
configuration: Common settings can be placed on the server for
propagation to workstations upon installation. For example, PDF
security parameters saved on the server will be copied to workstations
upon installation.

License management:
SE ensures license
compliance and allows monitoring and control of license usage on a
single server or a group of connected servers.

Configurable user interface: Product features can be removed from
the user interface if desired. It is also possible to define default
settings and remove particular user interface controls ensuring that
settings do not change.

Server/Citrix Support
Server Edition products fully
support Windows Terminal Server and Citrix Metaframe environments. Our
products support full desktop sessions as well as single application,
published application, and seamless application sessions. No special
setup is required.
Licensing
Licensing is
priced on a per user basis. There is no concurrent licensing
with Server Edition. For example, if you have 10 users, purchase a 10

Server Installation
System
Requirements:
Windows NT,
2000, XP, 2003 Server.
To install Server Edition on a server:
-
Download the self-extracting archive, which can be done from this
page, above.
-
Open
the
self-extracting archive.
-
The
installer will automatically install the printer drivers for Windows
95, 98, NT, 2K, XP on the server and create a shared printer that
clients can access. The installation process also installs the full
product for use on the server itself.
Client Installation
System
Requirements:
Windows 9x/ME,
or NT/2000/XP
Client installation using SE requires connecting to the shared network
printer, installed as above on the server. Client connection to the
shared printer can be done via Network Neighborhood or the Add Printer
Wizard in the Printers folder.
Automatic Client Updates
When Server
Edition is installed on your server, the connected clients are
automatically updated with the new version. These updates are performed
only when the client computer is rebooted or when a new user is logged
on.
Uninstallation
SE can be easily removed from either a client workstation or a server by
any of the following methods:

Running the "Uninstall" shortcut in the program group

Running the Add/Remove Programs applet from Control Panel and removing
the driver

Deleting the driver icon from the Printers folder
